After class this morning there was a little surprise...water dripping down the light fixture in our dining room area. We immediately called our realty company and they sent over our fix it man who is a very nice guy, but it takes him a while to do something and it takes him even longer to explain how is going to do that something.
We put a couple of bowls down on the floor with some towels to catch the dripping while we waited for him to come.

As was explained to us, the first step would be to get a bigger bucket, which he did.
Then he left to get a tarp for the second step.
Then he leaves for a while and comes back with the ladder for step three.

When I came home from my second class, this is what my ceiling looked like. There were also notes on the wall for us and the plumber, who came by later today and decided that he was going to have to replace the whole pipe after a bigger hole is cut in the ceiling (at 8am tomorrow).
Thankfully he is coming tomorrow, because otherwise it wouldn't get fixed for another 2 weeks. In the mean time we will live with clutter for a while, wait for the ceiling to dry (which is still dripping, and then have to have it patched and painted. Ahhhh.
This is one of the times when I am glad I am a renter, I do not have to pay to get this fixed, or coordinate the plumber and fixing of the ceiling and whatnot.
Ah Stacey, the fun of being a renter, glad that it can be fixed asap.. I like the pink bike! luv gram
