shower curtains, dance dance revolution, and road trips

I have so many things to talk about, and instead of writing 3 separate posts, I will overwhelm you with it all at once!

1. SHOWER CURTAINS!
But, it all started with plants, plants that Jason bought me for Valentines day.
I needed to buy pots, and dirt to plant the new plants in.
So, to Target I went with a gift card I had received for my birthday from 2 great friends!
I had a limited amount of time to shop because I needed to get to work, but I used all of that time to browse!
And browsing at Target can get a girl in trouble!
I found 2 out of the 3 pots I needed, and the dirt.....
....and, a memory card reader, a pair of pants (on sale), shirt, a new shower curtain, shower curtain liner, and jeweled shower curtain rings. (all on sale)
I was excited about all of my purchases, but that shower curtain...so excited!
The excitement about it goes way back, 3 years ago to when Jason and I were registering for wedding presents.
Supposedly I was picking out all of the items and Jason just wanted to be able to make a decision about the things we were registering for.
So, he got to pick out the shower curtain (i know, i'm so nice!)
At the time the shower curtain was fine.
I really did like it, but I was forced to bring it to the UP with us when we moved.
It was dirty, it had paint on it, and I had to cut off about a foot of the bottom when we moved here, and it was very plasticy.
So, needless to say, it was time for a new one!
And I love it!

2. DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION
Our play station bit the dust!
We don't really play video games all that much, but we do watch a lot of movies.
Since our play station is our DVD player, we felt it imperative to purchase a new one.
Since school was canceled due to inclement weather that we never saw all day long, we decided it was a perfect opportunity to blow some cash on a new play station.
Back to Target we went, to the electronics department, picked out our shiny new play station, and a new game just for me.
Jason would have bought it for me for my birthday, but he didn't want anyone thinking that he was buying it for himself!
I made sure to tell the salesman that the Dance Dance Revolution game and mat were for me!
As soon as we got home, Jason hooked up the play station, and i got ready to christen the brand new dance pad.
Jason got his camera ready and I got ready to dance. (I deleted the video he took)
And dance i did.
And that just made Jason laugh even more. Really, he wouldn't stop watching me.
And of course, he had to try it too!

3. ROAD TRIP!
Spring break is just around the corner, a much needed corner!
Our original spring break plan was to make a loop starting in the UP, going south to Grand Rapids, then Indy, then Wilmore, KY, then up to Chicago, then further up to WI, and then back to Marquette.
INSTEAD....we are coming home to Grand Rapids for 10 WHOLE DAYS!
Jason needs to have time to write his thesis.
I need to spend some quality time with my sister before she moves to Florida.
Also, it will be nice to have 10 days at home with family, with no holidays, no weddings, nothing planned!
We are so excited to be able to spend time with our families and friends we haven't seen in a while.
So we will see everyone soon!

I HAVE THE WINTER BLUES!

I know I am not the only one, but it's still hard with all of the snow on the ground, and the only time the sun shines is when it is -6 outside.

I have also been stressing about applying for colleges, and worrying about things that I can't change, or that are nowhere close to happening.

I don't know why I worry about things I can't change. I think it's a girl thing.

Here's what my normal train of thought has been for about the last, oh, month or so.

I have to apply to colleges because Jason applied to colleges for his MFA program.

I initially thought that I would be OK moving anywhere Jason got into college. It would be a new adventure. But as soon as I had to start applying, I started freaking out...WHAT WAS I THINKING?

I don't want to move.
Start all over again.
In a new place.
Oh gosh, we'll need to get a new apartment.
How much is that going to cost?
Are we going to have enough money to move? for a new apartment? for tuition?
How long will it take us to find jobs?
To make new friends?
How will our relationships with the friends we've made here stand up to time and distance?
Will all my credits transfer?
Is it going to take me even longer to graduate if i loose credits?
If it takes me longer to graduate, we'll NEVER start having kids!

And it kinda ends there, new things are interjected, and some things are omitted, but generally that is my train of thought, and only a third of the things going on in my crazy head.

So, I want to apologize for my bad mood, and my lack of posting, and just general crankiness!

skiing

These are some pictures from skiing a couple of weeks ago.
This is me being lazy and not posting.
Sorry some of them are sideways, I can't change them, and I can't delete them...so deal! :)
