Brussels....Day 2

Mannekin Pis...beloved statue of the Belgians

The ceiling of a covered mall and walk way

One of the side streets

There are street cafes set up everywhere. A much better alternative to drinking or eating inside.

Lunch at a Greet place...mmmmm...Gyros and Frites!

Sunning myself in the park across from our hotel.

Chillin

Chairs at one of the 3 churches we visited

Brussels was a beautiful city. Ornate buildings everywhere. Statues. Parks. Beautiful. For the most part everyone was very friendly although I still freeze at the thought of asking for something in French. (seeing as I know very, very little) it took me a 1/2 an hour to get up the nerve to ask for coffee at breakfast.
We found out when we got back to our hotel rooms (which were beautiful) that the train company was going on strike, so instead of traveling to Paris by train we were going there on a coach. (so thankful we did not have to lug all of our luggage through the metro)
